At ESET we take privacy and security very seriously so we want you to know how the information you supply will be used.
The information we collect from you for the CyberSmart Awards submission helps us to determine contest eligibility, to identify you if you are selected as a contest finalist and to communicate with you about the contest. We won’t sell any data that you supply on this website.
If you are selected as a finalist or winner, we may ask you for your permission to use details from your entry and your name in other venues – we won’t do this without your permission though.
When you submit your entry form, we collect the following information to help determine eligibility and to help us get in touch with you about your entry:
- Full name
- Personal information: information like your name, gender, address and other contact information lets us know if you are eligible to win a prize and so we know how to get in touch with you if you are selected as a finalist
- Information about your school: If you enter on behalf of a school, we will need information about your school in order to consider it for a prize
- Information about your organisation/company/charity: If you enter on behalf of a school, we will need information about your school in order to consider it for a prize
- Project details: Shortlisted entries will be placed on the website so we ask that you highlight any information that you do not want to be in the public domain.
If you have any concerns about disclosing the information requested on the submission form, please contact Fiona Bates in ESET’s press office on 0207 861 3195.
